The spotted lanternfly, Lycorma delicatula, (SLF) an invasive planthopper from Asia, has been the subject of a lot of media attention in the last few years. This exotic pest can do considerable damage to several native tree species such as walnut and maple, as well as agricultural commodities such as grapes.
