Auditory stress is a serious welfare concern for kenneled dogs. However, fewer studies have investigated the effects of auditory stress. Three Purdue University researchers examine noise sources and levels in kennels and discuss ways to create a more positive environment that can improve health and welfare outcomes for dogs as well as people.
