Pet Overpopulation or an Unwanted Pet Problem?

Management of the pet population in the United States involves significant financial and emotional resources. An emphasis on reproductive control has yielded results, but four Purdue University researchers say local, regional and national discussions are needed because more owners are relinquishing dogs as the animals grow to adulthood.
