Mammals play an integral role in many habitats. Knowing more about these intriguing animals can help us enjoy and appreciate the diversity of wildlife around us.

These natural history cards (72 pages) can be used to identify 34 mammalian species native to Indiana by appearance, skull, or by tracks. Students can research information about habitat, diet, distribution, reproduction, and ecology. Each mammal is described on a set of two sheets, one showing animal tracks, a photo of the adult mammal and skull photos. The second sheet includes a general description, tooth information, habitat information, range (including a map), and more.
