General Services Administration Upholstered Furniture Test Method-FNAE 80-214: A Description of the Method with Drawings

In 1977, the Wood Research Laboratory, in the Department of Forestry and Natural Resources of Purdue University, was asked by the General Services Administration of the Federal Government to develop performance tests for upholstered furniture. These tests were to be used by the General Service Administration in its furniture procurement programs. This document was prepared in order to make this information readily available to the furniture industry, and, in particular, to provide detailed drawings of the test equipment.
