The rapid rise in the number of processing plants that use corn to produce ethanol has increased the availability of co-product feeds. Feedstuffs produced from the ethanol industry have now become mainstream commodities, particularly in the beef industry. For various reasons, however, the sheep industry has been slower to incorporate these feedstuffs. This 5-page, Web-only publication describes distiller's grains and other types of ethanol co-products that can be used in sheep diets. It also covers the value of using DDGS, nutrient concerns, storage and handling, and mycotoxins.
