Greenhouse and Indoor Production of Horticultural Crops: Plant Monitoring Using Smartphones in Protected Agriculture

This publication introduces smart sensing techniques for protected horticulture systems using a smartphone to help monitor several plant traits. After growers capture plant images with the smartphone camera and send images to an online web server, results are returned to the smartphone within a few minutes. The method is highly reliable and easy to use.
